Review:

‘Hollywood Barks!’ steps aside from the line of books Happy Tails Books has previously published. Instead of being a collection of stories about rescued dogs this one is a memoir of a studio wrangler (animal trainer) called Kathryn Segura.

As I also review dog movies this book has given me a much better knowledge of what goes on behind the scenes of television shows, commercials and movies that have a dog in it. The life of a studio wrangler is very different from what I imagined. So is the life of a famous Hollywood dog! Did you know that Hollywood has a big heart for rescue dogs too? Whether from a shelter or a reputable breeder, all dogs get a chance!

Great additions to this book are the tricks! Kathryn Segura teaches you how to do tricks she uses herself and that were performed in famous Hollywood movies. Now, how cool is that!?

If you're looking for a book mainly filled with pictures of celebrities and their dogs, then this is not the book for you. If you want to learn more about famous Hollywood dogs and the celebrities that work with them, told from the studio wrangler herself, stories on and off set, then this is a book you should read. This has definitely been a very insightful and entertaining read.
